Sculpture

Sculpture is a process of discovery in which form and truth are revealed in a dynamic exchange between sculptor and stone. I am interested in uncovering that which is concealed, the story that unfolds as I carefully remove each layer of stone. My aim is to discover and give voice to emotions that are evoked in each encounter.

I have spent a lifetime working with sculptural forms. Over the past 30 years, I have developed a curiosity and willingness to take risks that is tremendously rewarding. The result of this alchemy is always original and evocative, an authentic expression of both the stone and myself and our influence on each other.

My sculptures are original, often large-scale pieces that capture the imagination and elicit deeply felt emotional responses. The process of uncovering and honoring the unique qualities of each stone limits the number of works I can produce each year and ensures that each sculpture is a remarkable and rare work of art.
